Mazatlán, Sinaloa.— With the arrival of October, Mazatlán welcomes the peak season for cruise tourism, a period expected to generate significant economic benefits for the port.
In 2025, a total of 143 cruise arrivals were scheduled. From January to September, 71 ships have already docked, and during the last quarter another 72 vessels are expected. Ali René Zamudio Garza, head of the Secretariat of Economic Development, Tourism, and Fisheries, highlighted that on October 7, 22, and 29, the port will see double cruise arrivals.
“This month alone we are expecting 15 cruise ships, bringing around 58,000 visitors and an estimated economic impact of 80 million pesos,” he stated.
Up until September, Mazatlán has received 279,700 cruise passengers aboard 71 ships, generating an estimated economic impact of 395 million pesos.
