Hotel associations are hitting the road to promote the port across Mexico and abroad.
The Tres Islas Hotel Association announced that starting this Sunday, they will embark on a promotional tour across seven Mexican cities — Morelia, Toluca, Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes, and Zacatecas — before attending a major trade show in Los Angeles, California, to strengthen Mazatlán’s presence in international markets.
Hotel leader José Ramón Manguart Sánchez explained that this caravan is part of a joint campaign with the Sinaloa Ministry of Tourism to boost travel interest heading into the holiday season.
“This tour concludes our year-end promotion strategy and aims to reinforce Mazatlán’s visibility in both national and international tourism markets,” he said.
Manguart added that the Los Angeles trade show will focus on reconnecting with one of Mazatlán’s most valuable international audiences — seeking new business opportunities and increasing foreign tourism during the city’s high season months: December, January, and February.
Currently, international visitors represent about 5% of Mazatlán’s total tourism. The association, which includes 40 affiliated companies and over 3,000 hotel rooms across the Marina, Golden Zone, Malecón, and Historic Center, aims to expand that figure through stronger cross-border partnerships.
