Banda El Recodo de Don Cruz Lizárraga returned to Europe this weekend after 30 years, kicking off their new international tour in Paris, France. Vocalists Geovanni Mondragón and Ricardo Yocupicio, along with musical director Poncho Lizárraga and the rest of the group, made their first stop in the French capital before heading to Rotterdam, Netherlands, where they will perform this Monday, November 17.
The band posed at iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Louvre Museum, celebrating their long-awaited return to Europe. Poncho Lizárraga shared his excitement on social media, recalling the first time the group brought their music to the continent three decades ago.
“We return with more history, experience, and gratitude,” he said, emphasizing the band’s commitment to honoring the legacy of Don Cruz Lizárraga and representing Mexico with pride.
El Recodo will continue their European tour with concerts in Milan, Amsterdam, Madrid, Berlin, Barcelona, and Paris, performing a repertoire that blends their classic hits with their latest productions. The tour reaffirms the group’s enduring legacy and their mission to expand the reach of Sinaloan banda music to new global audiences.
Additionally, the band announced a historic concert in Chicago alongside La Arrolladora Banda El Limón on November 29 at the Allstate Arena.
