Taquería La Dua offers “the thrill from the very first bite.”
That’s how English pop superstar Dua Lipa announced she will open her own taco spot in Mexico City, celebrating one of the country’s most iconic foods.
This afternoon, the global pop star—winner of three Grammy Awards and seven BRIT Awards—shared on social media that she will open her pop-up taquería in CDMX as part of her visit to Mexico for the Radical Optimism Tour.
The temporary spot will be located inside Los Caramelos, in the Condesa neighborhood, where fans will be able to enjoy souvenirs, photo opportunities, and plenty of Dua Lipa music from Monday, December 1 to Friday, December 5, from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. There will also be a special menu inspired by the singer. This is, essentially, a marketing campaign to promote her tour, which will close with three consecutive concerts at Estadio GNP Seguros on December 1, 2, and 5.
The tour accompanies the release of her third album, Radical Optimism, which reached number one in 12 countries, including the United Kingdom—where it became the most successful debut by a British female artist in 2024 and achieved the highest first-week sales for a UK female artist since 2021.
In the United States, the album debuted at number one on the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart and number two on the Billboard 200, marking the strongest sales week of Dua’s career. The album is also certified Gold in Mexico.
