As part of the civic, military, and sports parade commemorating the 115th anniversary of the start of the Mexican Revolution, the Municipal Secretariat of Public Security, through the Traffic and Road Safety Unit, has announced scheduled road closures for Thursday, November 20, to ensure a safe and unobstructed route for participants.
Óscar García Peinado, Deputy Director of Municipal Transit, explained that Avenida del Mar, Paseo Claussen, and Avenida de los Deportes will be closed starting at 2:00 a.m. to allow for the staging of the 54 participating contingents. The parade will begin heading north at 8:00 a.m.
Additionally, all side streets connecting to Avenida del Mar will remain restricted, with officers present to guide pedestrians and coordinate traffic.
For alternate routes, García Peinado recommended Ejército Mexicano, Cruz Lizárraga, and Insurgentes avenues, which will remain open to ease vehicle flow.
He also urged residents to leave home early and drive with caution to avoid delays or incidents.
