Mazatlán Prepares Honor Guard and Musical Tribute to Pedro Infante

The Pedro Infante Festival 2025 will take place this Tuesday, featuring a visit to the house where the legendary singer was born and performances of his most iconic songs.
On the 108th anniversary of his birth, the Cárdenas Ortega family announced the festival as a way to honor his memory in Mazatlán.

According to the program, on Tuesday, November 18, beginning at 5:30 PM, the event will open with an honor guard and the placement of a floral offering at the statue of the Sinaloan singer in Olas Altas. From there, a motorcade led by the Olas Altas motorcycle group will head to the house where Pedro Infante was born, located at Constitución Street #1106–1108 in the Centro neighborhood, home to the museum “El Rinconcito de Pedro.”

The celebration will feature renowned Mazatlecan voices performing some of the idol’s most beloved songs on the esplanade of the Pedro Infante House-Museum. The invitation, extended by Daniel David, welcomes all who wish to attend. Singer Jorge Echegaray will perform a special musical set in tribute to the Mazatlán-born icon.

Admission is completely free and open to the public.

Inside the museum, visitors can admire original clothing worn by Pedro Infante in films such as A toda máquina and Pepe el Toro, among other cinematic pieces donated by the singer’s children.

Pedro Infante passed away on April 15, 1957. The news of the plane crash in Mérida left an irreplaceable void in Mexican cinema and music. On that day, all of Mexico mourned the “immortal little bull.”
