The Mexican Red Cross in Mazatlán has begun preparations to reinforce its operations ahead of the Día de Muertos and Guadalupe-Reyes holiday season.
The main goal is to ensure rapid response to medical emergencies and incidents throughout the city and surrounding areas. Abimelec Gómez, Coordinator of Paramedics, explained that before launching the plans for the November 20 celebrations and Guadalupe-Reyes, the team must first complete the Día de Muertos operation successfully.
“We’ll be working through the Día de Muertos operation, then preparing for November 20, and finally for Guadalupe-Reyes,” Gómez said.
He added that internal coordination changes will be made within the Red Cross, though specific details will be shared later.
The operational plan includes deploying additional medical and rescue units to cover public events, high visitor traffic areas, and potential road incidents throughout Mazatlán.
