Mazatlán Closes October with 13 Cruise Ship Arrivals

This Thursday, the Norwegian Bliss arrived in Mazatlán, marking the final cruise of October and closing the month with 13 arrivals.

Coming from Puerto Vallarta, the vessel brought 4,035 passengers and 1,624 crew members. According to the Sinaloa Ministry of Tourism, from January 1 to October 28, Mazatlán has received 82 cruises, totaling 305,381 visitors and generating an economic impact of 475 million pesos.

After docking, international visitors disembarked to explore Mazatlán’s attractions — from the Cliff Divers and Olas Altas to the Plazuela Machado, Cathedral, Malecón, and Golden Zone, as well as nearby communities. The ship is scheduled to depart for Cabo San Lucas at 6:00 p.m.

Mayor Estrella Palacios Domínguez highlighted that the steady arrival of cruise ships significantly boosts the local economy, strengthening the city’s tourism sector heading into the final months of 2025.

She announced an optimistic forecast for November and December, with 39 international cruise ships expected to arrive — representing a notable increase in port and tourism activity.

“In November alone, we expect 18 arrivals, and in December 21, totaling 39 ships in the last two months of the year, with an estimated economic impact of 200 million pesos,” said Palacios Domínguez.

The mayor emphasized that the continuous arrival of cruise ships reflects the confidence that cruise lines have in Mazatlán as a safe and attractive destination for international tourism, generating direct benefits for local commerce, transport, restaurants, and tourism services.
