Las Perdidas in Oz: From Getting Lost on a Hill to Being Introduced by Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo

Wendy Guevara, Paola Suárez, and Karina Torrez have been named honorary guests at Mexico’s biggest Halloween party — a magical costume celebration taking place on October 30 to mark “Wicked Forever.”

One day, they were lost on a hill — and the next, they’re being introduced by Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo in a video invitation that has gone viral. The actresses who play Glinda and Elphaba announced the participation of Wendy, Paola, and Karina, who first became famous for their viral 2017 video filmed on a hill outside León, Guanajuato. The incident — which the influencers found hilarious — happened when their friends left to buy more drinks, leaving them alone and sparking what would become the legend of “Las Perdidas.”

Since then, their charisma has turned them into icons of Mexican entertainment. Wendy Guevara became the first trans influencer to participate in a Televisa reality show, winning over thousands with her authenticity and charm. Paola Suárez has taken a political turn and is now running for governor, while Karina Torrez continues to grow her media and social presence. Together, the trio known as Las Perdidas has managed to keep their viral essence alive while expanding into Mexican pop culture and entertainment.

In the video shared by Universal Pictures México, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo close with a playful nod to the moment that made the trio famous, recreating the iconic line in English:

“We hope you’re not lost anymore… Perdidas.”

A fun and magical way to bring Las Perdidas from the hill to the international stage — celebrating Halloween and proving that fame can come from the most unexpected moments.
